Granddaddy Purple ( AKA GDP) is an Indica Hybrid that is made up of 80% Indica genetics and 20% Sativa genetics. This strain was created in California back in 2003, by crossing Purple Urkle and Super Bud.
GDP is a heavy Indica dominant which delivers a strong head and body buzz to start, which then leads into a light, relaxing state typical of Indica strains. This strain is commonly used for insomnia, stress, and loss of appetite. As well as it would be a great strain for pain relief.
This strain would be best suited for your everyday smoker, as THC levels are quite high ranging from 19-27% THC. We would advise using this product in small amounts if you have a mild THC tolerance, giving this time to take effect before adjusting your dose. This strain would be best suited for evening or nighttime use.
The flowers on the strain can be described as tight, colourful buds, which are coated in a fine layer of crystal. This would be the perfect strain for a photo opportunity as it has a beautiful look, and intense purple hues. The flavors of this strain mostly come from the Purple Urkle parent as it carries through the berry, and grape flavors.

Activated vs non-activated: activated cannabinoids are non-acidic (neutral) and are the form utilized by the human brain/ body. Activation occurs via heating (smoking, vaporizing, cooking).
