Strain Name: Kraken
THC Potency: 21.97%
Burn: Smooth burning, clean white ash. Appears to be well flushed.
Info: Kraken is a very rare indica dominant hybrid made up of 70% indica genetics and 30% Sativa genetics. This strain was bred by Buddha Seeds and the parents of this strain are unknown. Many believe this strain to be a Kush descendant due to the heavy indica effects. The name of this strain is given due to the rare unknown nature of the strain.
Even with lower THC levels this strain boasts heavy indica effects that set in fast and can be long lasting; making this a strain best suited for evening use as you may find yourself incredibly relaxed and unproductive. Consumers are using this product for insomnia, stress, depression, and pain.
Potency testing on this strain is very low as testing has seen results as low as 12% and as high as 15%. However, do not be fooled by the lower THC levels as this strain is to be used with caution because the indica effects are heavy and quickly on-setting. We would also suggest avoiding this product if you suffer from anxiety as it has been known to create anxiety if used in excess.
Buds tend to be medium to large which can be airy in structure. The flowers on this strain are visually appealing as they are bursting with colour and shining with trichomes. With many shades of green, entangled by orange pistils and blanketed in snow-like crystals. Upon opening this bag you will be hit with smells of spice and fuel. When smoking the fuel flavor is carried through which is accompanied by a piney or earthy flavor.
Sample submitted: “Kracken” dried cannabis flowers.
Visual Inspection: Free from visible contamination and foreign matter.
Activated vs non-activated: activated cannabinoids are non-acidic (neutral) and are the form utilized by the human brain/ body. Activation occurs via heating (smoking, vaporizing, cooking). Cannabinoids in the natural plant are acidic (non-activated) and need to be converted to their neutral form in order to be utilized by the human body. Therefore one would expect fresh cannabis buds to contain mainly non-activated cannabinoids. Processed materials (baked goods, heated extracts) should be higher in the activated forms.
Absent Cannabinoids: if a cannabinoid or terpene is blank, it is not necessarily absent but below the limit of detection by the detector (usually less than 0.01%).
•when reporting totals, acidic cannabinoids are multiplied by 0.877 to account for loss of mass from decarboxylation upon heating (activating)
