Info: Love Potion #1 is a sativa dominant hybrid cross of the popular G-13 and Colombian Gold strains. This bud was reportedly named for its ability to stimulate and arouse.the cure for any of your loving needs. Regardless of how it may or may not effect you, this strain was the winner of the 2004 High Times’ Cannabis Cup. The high gives you an extremely uplifted and euphoric mood and a tingling body high that can make you sensitive. This stimulation can be very arousing to some. Many reviewers actually use the term ‘horny’. Because of these stimulating effects, Love Potion #1 is often used to treat Chronic fatigue, chronic stress or anxiety, mild to moderate cases of depression, and nausea.
The Love Potion 1 strain is somewhat new to the North American cannabis scene. It was recently created by a company called Reeferman Seeds as they wanted a pure sativa that they could market to their growing client base. It was created by cross-breeding Santa Marta Colombian Gold with G13. The Love Potion 1 weed strain is known to be super skunky. While it is a heavy sativa leaning plant, there are also supposedly some Love Potion 1 indica strains available, however, they are rare and super hard to come by. The Love Potion 1 indica strain delivers the same skunky effects as the sativa leaning version, however, it has a bit more of an insomnia-curing ability.
Like most sativa dominant strains, the Love Potion 1 cannabis strain plants grow super tall and quite thin in stature. The leaves and stems are known to grow in a bright or dark green color, similar to the flowers and dried buds they produce. The plant will typically flower in about 60-70 days depending on the specific growing conditions. Many growers have claimed to have had success growing this strain both indoors and outdoors. Yield ratios for the plant tend to be moderate, however, the bud is premium so a slightly smaller bud yield is not a problem. The plant aroma smells sweet, lemony, skunky, and has undertones of fresh earthy spices.
One of the predominant effects of this plant is sexual arousal. Most people that smoke it claim that they instantly feel a supercharged libido. Other people that smoke it claim that is makes them feel super happy, uplifted, relaxed, and really creative. This strain is perfect for socializing, getting work done, doing intense creative work, or sharing alone time with your significant other in the bedroom.
As for the strain’s medicinal properties, it can really help you combat extreme stress, whether it be work stress, financial stress, or just good old fashioned existential angst. The strain is also known to effectively treat depression due to the strong euphoric and uplifting vibes that it creates. It is also commonly prescribed by doctors to treat erectile dysfunction, chronic pain, fatigue, and even nausea. It is not recommended that you consume caffeine while under this strain’s effects, as the caffeine might induce a little paranoia. The strain is already a huge energy buzz in and of itself, so if you would like to sip on a beverage while smoking this then go for some decaffeinated tea with milk and a little honey.

Cannabis Potency Summary Table:
Three tests of each sample were analysed and summarised below:
% by weight
THC-Acid (not activated)
*THC total (THC-Acid THC)
CBD-Acid (not activated)
CBG-Acid (not activated)
THCV-Acid (not activated)
Activated Cannabinoid Total:
Endo Fenchyl Alcohol
•when reporting totals, acidic cannabinoids are multiplied by 0.877 to account for loss of mass from decarboxylation upon heating (activating)
Activated vs non-activated: activated cannabinoids are non-acidic (neutral) and are the form utilized by the human brain/ body. Activation occurs via heating (smoking, vaporizing, cooking). Cannabinoids in the natural plant are acidic (non-activated) and need to be converted to their neutral form in order to be utilized by the human body. Therefore one would expect fresh cannabis buds to contain mainly non-activated cannabinoids. Processed materials (baked goods, heated extracts) should be higher in the activated forms.
Absent Cannabinoids: if a cannabinoid or terpene is blank, it is not necessarily absent but below the limit of detection by the detector (usually less than 0.01%).
